What is Executive Coaching?

What is Executive Coaching?

Hi I’m Jeff Yeomans from the Personal coaching center and an Executive Coach. Some of you may be surprised to learn that there are over thirty different psychological approaches to coaching, so it’s quite complex.
At the same time, this has given rise to a few popular misconceptions about coaching. It’s, not fixing telling or advising because the coach doesn’t know all are, or indeed any of the answers and it’s, not performance management.

Most of my except coaching, clients are already delivering good results, but they want results that are even better. It’s, not therapy in coaching the clients. Looking ahead to what can go right, not back at what’s gone wrong in coaching.
The clients, the expert and not there to be fixed results from therapy can take a long time, but the results from coaching can be surprisingly Swift and dramatic. Having explored some popular misconceptions about coaching, let’s now turn our attention to what the exit coach does.

The more senior my exact coaching client is the more benefit they report from the confidential thinking space that an executive coach provides. How do I do this? Well, I do a lot of listening .
Time can be a rare luxury for an executive. I ask questions that enable clients to mobilize their inner resources solve their own problems and achieve their own goals. Of course, I want to be highly supportive of mine, but on its own the support is not enough, but breaking down their brilliant, but challenging coaching points out too much.

Support without stretch is too cozy too much stretch without support is stressful, so the area I work in with my exec coaching clients is high support and high challenge, because that’s, the area that gives them the best results.
A coaching engagement represents quite an investment for an exec, not least in terms of their time. So a common question is whether or not it’s worth the investment, and the answer is a resounding yes. Study after study shown that the return is typically five to seven times the initial investment.
